Ask Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Grok about the 2027 Oscar markets. WaitingForMacGuffin runs a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server with the numbers the site shows: the average of the Kalshi and Polymarket prices, each platform's own price beside it, and dollars traded. Also recent large trades, the 2026 archive and the season calendar. No account and no key.

What your assistant can ask
list_categoriesThe 21 categories, which markets are open, the highest average, the highest price on each platform and dollars traded.
get_categoryOne category's contenders: the average, each platform's own price, the gap between them and dollars traded.
get_contenderOne film, person or song in every category it appears in, with the same numbers.
get_large_tradesRecent trades of $500 and up, named and labelled by platform.
get_alertsThe site's alert log and the largest 24-hour price moves.
get_season_calendarShortlists, nominations, the ceremony and the guild awards, with sources.
Answers cover the 2027 season by default. Ask for 2026 to get the archive: final Kalshi prices and the winners.
How to read the answers
- Prices are percents: the price of a $1 contract, read as the market-implied chance. As on the site, each contender has one number by default, the average of the Kalshi and Polymarket prices. When one platform's market is thin or has no price, the other platform's price stands alone and is labelled “Kalshi only” or “Polymarket only”.
- Each platform's own price is always beside the average. Kalshi and Polymarket are separate markets with their own rules, so their prices can differ; a gap of more than 4 points is flagged.
- Trading is in dollars: what traders paid, per platform and both together, for the season, the last 30 days, 7 days and 24 hours. The platforms' own volume counts (Kalshi contracts, Polymarket shares) are not dollars.
- 24-hour changes are the change of the number shown over 24 hours, from the site's saved prices, in percentage points. Markets with a one-sided order book, a wide gap between bid and ask, or little trading are marked thin; markets that have stopped trading are marked closed.
- Every answer starts with the same line, and assistants are asked to show it:
Market data, not advice. Prices are what traders paid on Kalshi and Polymarket, shown per platform or as their average; they are not predictions or recommendations.
Limits
Read-only: no tool can trade, sign in or change anything. Up to 120 requests a minute from one address. The server logs which tool was called and how long it took, not what was asked.
